Don't have time to be on a DI Team,
but still want to be involved in DI?

The Mission

Our mission is to better the NExT community by assisting the Board of Directors and encouraging high school students to continue their involvement in the Destination Imagination Program through leadership and volunteering opportunities.

What is Junior Board?

NExT Region Junior Board of Directors is comprised of High School students who want to help out with running NExT Region DI.

Who can become a member?

Junior Board is open to students in 9th-12th grade who have at least one year of experience participating on a competitive DI team.

Can Junior Board members also participate on a team?

Absolutely! Many Junior Board members also compete on a DI team, but some don't have time to compete so they stay involved through Junior Board.

What does Junior Board do?

From designing the Regional t-shirt and pins, to learning how to run the DIme Store, to helping run workshops and the tournament, Junior Board is full of opportunities to get involved.

What's the commitment level?

Meetings or activities are usually about once per month, but we're flexible. We understand that high school students may have lots of other commitments. "It's also great because it's really up to you how much you put into it, so if you have a lot of time, you can take on a lot, but if you don't, you have the freedom to scale back a little." -Junior Board member

Can I get service hours for this?

Yep! We are happy to provide confirmation of the time that you spend volunteering through Junior Board.

Why should I join Junior Board?

This is an opportunity to volunteer at something that you truly care about.

"Not only are Junior Board members able to grow as leaders and gain lots of volunteer experience, they do it while bonding with fellow crazy, creative DI-ers." - Junior Board member

"It was really cool to see how DI worked from the opposite side of things, ...it was one of the only leadership/extracurricular things that I truly felt like I was a part of, like it was somewhere I belonged." - Junior Board member
